The easiest dash to cancel will be her shuriken jump. You can even cancel her ultimate’s damage if you pull her before she reaches you. If you are on low ping and are good at predicting, you can effectively cancel all of Akali’s dashes with your E. Another plus of playing Darius is that your bleed ticks, show you where the Akali is when she is invisible. Make sure she has to walk out quite a bit if she wants to damage you further. Unless you are aiming to all in and kill her, and KNOW that you can do so, don’t fight in or around her smoke. And since your Q is stronger, you will win the trade. If you have an idea of the Akali Q range, you can time it as she goes in so that you both get hit.
Akali only beats you in an all in if she is able to kite you so stick to her and kill her. Level 2 is where the tides turn, as you get access to one of your CC abilities that let you hold her in place. Don’t take trades level 1 that go beyond just a simple Q, as she can chunk you out to the point where you can’t even fight back anymore. The key to winning an Akali matchup is not taking bad trades and not eating her empowered autoattacks for free.
SWEEPER IF SHE IS OUTPLAYING YOU IN HER SMOKE TOO OFTEN.Īkali is a problematic matchup for quite a few Darius players but if you understand the champion, it becomes easier. DON’T FIGHT IN SMOKE UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU WILL KILL HER. If he becomes a problem and you just died to him twice or so, you can get Plated Steelcaps and Bramble Vest but honestly at that point you won't be able to 1v1 him without your jungler unless he MASSIVELY messes up. Aatrox’ healing means that he will have extra health for you to punch through.
As a last thing of note, try to make sure you hit your Qs on him. If you do get hit by it, try to walk out of it as soon as possible as the repositioning can let Aatrox get ALL of his Qs off which basically means you just lose. Dshield along with Second wind are great but Nimbus gives you a very powerful dodging ability that is great for this lane. If he ever Es into you, he leaves himself vulnerable as he no longer has his escape move. Executioners is vital if he gets a kill in lane OR he farms evenly with you, because his healing in his ult will be unbeliavably high without it. If you dodge them or he misses them, he is free food. If he can land his Qs, he stands a chance.
You want to pop ghost and just run around him when you do pull him in so that he has a very difficult time landing his Qs onto you. You should only be able to be hit by the first Aatrox Q, as the other 2 are completely outplayable.
